Asymmetrical facial features are incredibly common, with many of you having slight differences in the size, shape, or placement of your facial features. While this is perfectly normal, it can sometimes lead to feelings of self-consciousness or dissatisfaction with one’s appearance.

Fortunately, there is a solution that doesn’t involve invasive or expensive cosmetic surgery: semi-cosmetic tattooing. By using specialized techniques and pigments, a skilled semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo technician can help to balance out asymmetrical features, such as uneven eyebrows or lips, to create a more harmonious overall look.

For example, if you have an eyebrow that is higher or different than the other, we can use a combination of micro-blading and shading techniques to create the appearance of symmetry. Similarly, if your lips are uneven or asymmetrical, skilled lip blushing with lip-lining tattoo can help create a more balanced and natural-looking pout.

While micro-pigmentation may not be a solution for everyone, it can be a great option for those of you who want to make a positive change to your appearance without undergoing surgery or other invasive procedures. So if you’re feeling self-conscious about your features, why not consider booking an appointment for semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo and see how we may help you achieve the look you’ve always wanted?

Cheers,

Janey

Gentle Cosmetic Tattoo likes to have a more natural attitude towards micro-pigmentation. I find a softer look especially to start with is more pleasing to you as my client. Some of you have not had brows for years, so a more relaxed or conservative look can work wonders. The second procedure a few weeks later can add more arch, more flair or just more!

You will sign a consent form and receive an after-care sheet as well. Please read both and ask questions. Any reactions in the past from e.g. latex is important for us to know.

Make-up tattoo corrections from discoloured and faded out brows are our speciality as is non-laser tattoo removal.

Hair stroked brows and natural powdered brows are here to stay. Natural vegetable oxide-free pigments are long lasting, fading without residue, and are long lasting. There are the correct pigment lines for you all.

March is a beautiful month. Enjoy it and contact us to chat.

Cheers,

Janey

Brows have always been right up there (excuse the pun) as probably the most popular micro-pigmentation procedure. Once you have had your brows cosmetically tattooed and have followed the aftercare, they do require maintenance just as does any other makeup or health adjustment. Changes in colour and shape are made as you stay in touch with your technician. Those early appointments assess how your skin best reacts to say, organic over inorganic pigments, machine work to hand-tool, as well as to the many facets of your lifestyle. New designs cannot look after themselves, so continue the waxing, tinting and refreshing.

Micropigmentation doesn’t stop at your face. Thinning hair has it’s remedy with Scalp Tattoo. Replication of hair follicles, works beautifully for men and women.

Plasma Fibroblasting is another fabulous procedure where skin only gets better. Eye-lid lifts, lines, wrinkles and skin tightening can have the inner and outer you smiling.

Enjoy September sunshine.

Cheers,

Janey

The holidays are on and the kids are at their Aunt’s or best mate’s place for a sleepover. Well, that’s one scenario. This is the time of the year I see women for their cosmetic tattoo and refreshers. Somehow they work it all around their fantastically busy lives and nearly always fall asleep whilst I am refreshing their micro-pigmentation. It’s so beautiful and serene here near the Hinterland.

Lips are amazing to work with. The difference a fuller lip-line makes, is stunning! Very often a lip-line and blend takes you over the point of ordinary and into that place of super confident or just smugly satisfied that you look better than you ever have. Many of you will want to come back to have your lips filled in for a complete lip blush and lucky you if you already have the colour. My beautiful client this morning told me her boss finally asked her how she gets her eyeliner perfect every day. An earthy pink was chosen for her full mouth this morning which will need one or two more sessions. It’s worth her long drive, as she can forget her lipstick for a few years. Later, her full lip refreshers will be even fuller, darker or softer, whatever she wishes.

Enjoy the end of semester holidays…relax.

Cheers,

Janey

Hi everyone, since I’ve been talking about correcting color mishaps I thought I would give you my latest example. My happy client came in for her 3rd micro pigmentation rectification session this afternoon and told me her partner commented about her makeup tattoo over coffee with friends (that was lovely). One doesn’t know exactly the result until the healing process takes place, so I look forward to seeing her next month. 1st image is before her 1st micro pigmentation (including new design) at Gentle Cosmetic Tattoo and the last two immediately after treatment.
A good improvement is expected of course! I’ll post the latest healed brows late September…

In today’s world there are many things you want or need to do before the sun comes up.

Unfortunately there is some pressure to look good most of the time, if not all the time.  Very fortunately there is this wonderful thing called semi-permanent makeup or cosmetic tattoo.  Actually it’s also referred to as 3D, feathering, hairstrokes, microblading, eyebrow embroidery and micro-pigmentation all meaning pigment is implanted in the upper dermis layer of the skin.

After the initial treatment, the layer on the surface eases itself off during the healing procedure, with a little help from aftercare instructions.  After a week or so,  the area feels smooth and the colour implanted is seen softer and lighter as if looking through a veil.  It’s exciting to see this, and great to realize you have beautiful, symmetrical brows that don’t wash off and in fact, last for months at a time.

Cosmetic tattoo does fade, and particles as with all foreign bodies eventually disintegrate, as healing by the immune cells takes place.

UV rays do a fine job of bleaching the makeup tattoo, behaving like a laser over time.  Sun and chemicals can damage so take care while using glycolics, Retin A, and various anti-aging products.  SPF lip balm or screen is handy for lips and great for brows too.  They come water-proofed as well!

Lips tend to fade faster than some other cosmetic tattoo as they are pale and moist a lot of the time with eating and drinking etc.  Lighter colours in brows can fade quicker than darker shades but as you now have balanced brows, a brow powder can look good until your next refresh.

Eyeliner tattoo wears well as black is so popular although you can always be more flamboyant.  Ask me about this!

So semi-permanent makeup is like any other beauty procedure and may require refreshing every year or so, keeping up with skin and hair changes.

A small price to be cosmetically freer in today’s world.

Every skin is different but over time the body breaks down foreign bodies whenever possible to eliminate what wasn’t there naturally.

Holidays remind you that semi-permanent makeup is such a good idea!  Sometimes the thought has been on the mind for years and suddenly, yes now is the time to just do it!  It’s what I hear from my clients as they ask for a ‘now’ appointment for cosmetic tattoo.

It’s a good plan to arrive with a book or magazine, or anything to occupy you,  as your brow or lip area will soon have on that (very good) topical anaesthetic.  I like to leave the numbing crème on the skin for at least 25 minutes.  It’s so beautiful and tranquil here on the edge of the Hinterland, you will soon relax.

Let me know if you have any questions or worries at all – preferably before your appointment.  All you have to do now is settle and relax.  If you are pregnant or breastfeeding though, I would ask you to leave this session for a few months.  It’s also important to let me know of any medications or herbal products you are taking.  It’s  for your own well-being.  Even asprin or alcohol can incur more bleed than is necessary during a treatment, so best to avoid these or other blood thinners for 24hrs beforehand.  An hour or so at the gym promotes blood flow so wait till after your tattoo-makeup. It will be worth the extra care and will help you retain your cosmetic tattoo.

Having eye-liner tattoo?   Have a friend drive, or stay longer with your cold pack on here.  Make sure your contact lenses are safe at home and wear eye glasses instead before and after your eyeliner tattoo procedure.  Remember it is tattoo!

If you have ever had a cold sore (in your lifetime) please do take advised precautions.  Almost certainly you will have an outbreak to some degree, as tattoo does initially traumatize the skin.  See your doctor for an antiviral prescription a week before your appointment.  The pharmacy also carries crème and tabs that will help for sure.  Zovirax crème (and others) and Lysine makes lip tattoo a lot more comfortable too.

Dermal fillers such as Restylane Perlane and Juvederm tend to release pigment earlier than necessary so I would either have this procedure done several months prior or after micro-pigmentation.

These are a few of the more obvious precautions, so do feel free to discuss and chat, and question!

Cheers, and happy holidaying,

Janey

Hello Everyone,

It was just the other day I dropped in to see Belle, a 30 something young mum.  Littlies around her knees, new pup around her ankles.  However did we do it I thought!  She threw me this jaded look while smoothing her face and rubbing tired eyes whilst I made tea.  Why am I telling you this?  Well, this beautiful lady had had her last eyeliner session done a few days before.

Here it was Cosmetic tattoo at it’s best and most practical.  Too practical for words!!  Belle could converse,  do housework, study, change nappies, walk pup, make dinner and then visit the family with, frankly, no makeup and no fuss, big made-up eyes. Permanent makeup, or more correctly in Australia, semi-permanent makeup was a spontaneous, wonderful, well deserved gift.  What’s more, Belle will most likely have her tattoo makeup for many years to come. Why? A very dark colour was used (after all,  your pupils are black) and yes it was reasonably wide to compliment her otherwise bare eyes.  No cosmetically tattooed flicks, no sweeps, as we like to leave that to you usually. There’s good reason for this by the way.  It can be a nicer look as one ages (we all do that too). This way your cosmetic tattoo does not eventuate into saggy ticks.  Better to add and play with makeup here.

Micro pigmentation ‘Love you’ gifts are to given anytime, to all ages (over 18).

Talk with me.

Happy Spring time!

I decided to add a last minute blog for May as my tablet has been at the shop for repair and my May blog disappeared!  So here are a few thoughts.

I’ve been asked about micro blading a lot lately.  Micro blading is another name for cosmetic tattoo hair-strokes, feathering, eyebrow embroidery, micro-pigmentation and the list goes on. It’s when semi-permanent tattoo is applied with a hand-tool.

A beautiful and very natural technique we do at Gentle Cosmetic Tattoo is ‘sketching’.  When an eyebrow is sketched with the right apparatus, extra fine hairs are ‘built’ into a brow design that will have you fascinated.  Every technique done here requires two sessions.  The first sketching heals in fine brow hair,  and the result is extra subtle which is great for you ladies who are nervous about tattoo makeup.

Makeup tattoo is exactly that – Tattoo but our pigments are a far cry from body tattoo inks (which are right for body tattoos).  Cosmetic tattoo pigments age with you, so as  your skin alters along with eyebrow, eye and lips shape it is easy to transform fading colour into what is right for you now and later.

As with all cosmetic tattoo even beauty spots, we start conservatively.  Always, but always a good idea!  Soft natural shapes can change with just a few extra strokes into chic or seductive. Sometimes it takes only one or two tiny additions to make that difference.  I especially enjoy the face that lends itself to a special individual look.

All this is done with semi-permanent tattoo that lasts months and years depending on your skin and is in most cases, virtually pain-free.

We suggest maintenance each year at minimal cost.

Call us, and cheers for June coming up.

Have you ever wondered what people think of women putting on makeup in public?   Apparently two thirds of British women apply their usual makeup ritual as they commute to work.  This may be a subject of fascination to males who are sitting beside them but the people I have talked with believe it falls short of good etiquette!   In fact it really irks some men,  partners for example.

None of this may matter to you ladies but I can say that it is less trouble, and less embarrassing if you don’t have to reapply your makeup in public, especially whilst dining!  It’s also a whole lot more fun when your makeup stays on your face in these situations and more (smile).

This is why there’s been a mighty upsurge of popularity with cosmetic tattoo, or micro pigmentation as it is uncommonly called.   Tattoo makeup does fade though, having so much exposure so you need to look after it.   I always tell my clients this, and nowadays cosmetic tattoo pigments are more soft and subtle than ever.   Lighter colours fade fastest, but no one minds a re-vamp every year or eighteen months or so to have those tattooed hair-strokes look special.

One can have the most minimal semi-permanent makeup applied and jazz it up for nights out.   Personally, I love weekends away where I just wisp on mascara and blush. It takes less than a minute!

Call for a chat about minimal makeup tattoo or much more.

Cheers and happy March.
