It’s fascinating watching the transformation of the female eye area with tattoo makeup. In two hours everything is done, including all the preliminaries and the finishing off with a soothing cool pack. With ultra safe semi-permanent pigments, eyes are shaped, enhanced, down or up-sized with eyeliner that amazingly will just stay. Choice is varied. Many of you will love the finest line, with colour running through the lashes for great definition. Others only feel dressed with more, much more.

Beautiful eyes do not have an age preference. Full dark and wide eyeliner sits well on one of my favourite clients who turned fifty-seven this year, which will soften over time. In fact, the darker shades of grey, green, blue and charcoal will last for years and years. These colours, and the stronger, brighter hues have made a huge comeback this year. You might say that’s all very well,  but fashion changes!  I say enjoy these shades for as long as you feel comfortable and then have a change with browns, taupes, or more black.  I cosmetically tattooed emerald through my smudgy tattoo eyeliner. I’ve loved this look for a couple of years now,  and it is now trendier than ever.

For those of you who seriously have an issue with liquids and powders, do try makeup tattoo. My client today was glowing after her brows were waxed, designed and feather stroked for a special effect, before her lids were shaped with black liner. For her follow-up in a few weeks, we may use Teal,  Blue or Jade – or a blend. With my client’s Spanish/Scottish ancestry which gives her glossy dark hair and a rosy blush to the skin, the finished look  could well be beyond her expectations.

To wing it or not? I love to show my clients that a soft blunt, wedged look, to just at or after the natural lash line can be a good way to go. Use pencil or kohl to extend, or dramatize with wings or flicks. Alternatively, when winged eyeliner has been a mainstay of yours for a long time and has given you the distinct look that is you all over, then Gentle Cosmetic Tattoo will oblige with micro-pigmentation.
