A little about lips
Our lips reflect how we age and how we live. We lose the natural lip-line sometimes quite early, in our 20’s or 30’s which seems unfair. A little later in life we gain creases around the mouth, even when we have never picked up a cigarette, that’s definitely unfair! All is well though as at Gentle Cosmetic Tattoo we particularly enjoy recreating the lip-line in soft pinky browns, baby pinks and other shades that don’t bleed but enhance the mouth and look natural on the skin. These colours don’t wash away and last and last changing awkward shapes or giving more fullness without an artificial ‘bow’ on the top lip. If you wish a very gentle lip-line with full lip colour, full lip cosmetic tattoo may be the answer. If you have plenty of lip colour already, lip-line cosmetic tattoo may be all that is necessary.
We recreate lips rather than give a lipsticked look, however a slick of lip gloss does wonders.
I cosmetically tattooed my own lips and it was one of the best things I did for myself, (other than eye-liner and brow tattoo makeup). When I go out there’s always some colour on, that goes with the clothing but when it all comes off, guess what? It doesn’t matter one bit!
Just a point to remember. Try not to sweep your new makeup tattoo with foundation or powder. The beauty of semi-permanent makeup is just that -not having to apply anything over your cosmetic tattoo. Many of you are so used to covering your face with traditional makeup so it’s easy to forget now that you don’t have to worry. Let the naturalness and tattooed brow strokes show through!
May is nearly here and the weather is getting crisp! Fantastic, for someone brought up in New Zealand!
Have a wonderful month of May with new makeup tattoo!
Cheers,
Janey
